Designing a Membership for Direct Relationships with Palestinians

Membership campaigns can transform donors into active participants in grassroots change in Palestine

Contemporary subscription platforms, like YouTube and Patreon, enable audiences to connect with creators. Contributors today are eager participants. They yearn for a deeper relationship with the work of change. They want to be part of a movement for meaningful change.

We channel this trend to empower grassroots leaders in the Palestinian struggle. Working with BuildPalestine, we designed a bold new brand for global participation and served the majority of active community leaders in Palestine.

International supporters often only know about the intangible politics that populate the news. They rarely have an intimate window into the daily lives and work of Palestinians. On the other side, grassroots leaders yearn for a global community to see and support their work. We planned a suite of services, including YouTube Live, to nurture real connections.

Based on these services, our campaign calculated a strategy to raise USD $1 million over six months. We looked to bridge the Palestinian people to their global community. Time, expertise, and donations -- we each contribute towards a building a better future together.
